Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SimplifyBids, operated by Leverage Point Advisory (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use SimplifyBids (the “Service”). It works alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
Account information you give us: your business name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider).
Business profile you build to power matching: trades and capabilities, service areas, certifications, size, and any teaming or partner details you add.
Billing information: your subscription status and history. Payments are processed by Stripe — we do not see or store your full card number.
Usage, device, and analytics: information about how you use the Service — pages viewed, features used, actions taken, approximate location, and device and browser details — collected through our product-analytics provider (PostHog). This may include session recordings of your interactions with the app; we mask form inputs (anything you type) in those recordings. We also log whether digest emails were delivered or opened. We use this to keep the Service working, fix problems, and improve relevance — never for third-party advertising. You can opt out (see “Your choices and rights” below).
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: match solicitations to your profile, score fit, and flag teaming opportunities;
- To send you bid digests, account, and service-related emails;
- To process subscriptions and billing through Stripe;
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug problems;
- To improve our matching, content, and product over time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show you third-party advertising.
3. AI processing
To score how well an opportunity fits your business, we send relevant parts of your business profile and the public solicitation text to our AI provider (Anthropic) through its API. This processing produces the fit scores, summaries, and teaming signals you see. Our AI provider does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. AI outputs can be imperfect — see the accuracy disclaimer in our Terms.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Service, with providers who process it on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations:
- Hosting & database (application hosting and our Supabase database) to store your account and profile;
- Payments (Stripe) to process subscriptions;
- Email delivery (Resend) to send digests and account emails;
- Product analytics (PostHog) to understand and improve how the Service is used, including session recordings with form inputs masked;
- AI processing (Anthropic) to generate fit scores and summaries, as described above;
- Workflow automation we operate to collect and curate solicitation data.
Teaming directory: if you opt in to teaming, the profile details you mark as shareable become visible to other SimplifyBids members. This is optional and you can turn it off in your settings at any time.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights and users, or in connection with a business transfer.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, billing records) to meet legal obligations.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can view and update your business profile in your settings, opt out of the teaming directory, and unsubscribe from digest emails using the link in any digest or by contacting us. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing alerts@simplifybids.leveragepointadvisory.co.
Analytics and session recording: we rely on your implied consent to the product analytics and session recording described above. You can opt out by turning on a Do-Not-Track or Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honor, or by emailing alerts@simplifybids.leveragepointadvisory.co to ask us to stop analytics processing for your account.
California residents: under the CCPA/CPRA you have rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us at alerts@simplifybids.leveragepointadvisory.co.
8. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
